Football Recap: East Coweta Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Andrew Shoch and Ricky Howell Jr

East Coweta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 34-24 to the North Cobb Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Warriors are ranked 14th).

Ricky Howell Jr and Andrew Shoch certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Howell Jr rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only five carries, while Shoch threw for 144 yards and one touchdown.

East Coweta's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Cobb, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Coweta will challenge Lovejoy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Cobb, they will take on Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
