Football Recap: Sinton Falls Short of West Orange-Stark in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Sinton and West Orange-Stark squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sinton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 28-3. The Pirates were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the 14 matchups prior), but the Mustangs' defense proved too tough.

Quincy Bess threw for 43 yards on six of 14 attempts. Qwinton Rhines was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Mykha Green rushed for 85 yards.

Khelvy Jefferson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 237 yards and three scores on only 15 carries for West Orange-Stark. Jefferson's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards.

With the loss, Sinton broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-2. As for West Orange-Stark, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Sinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Orange-Stark will take on Carthage in a holiday battle at 7:32 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last 14 contests.
