Baseball Game Preview: Lafayette Central Catholic Knights vs. Hamilton Heights Huskies

The Lafayette Central Catholic Knights will challenge the Hamilton Heights Huskies at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lafayette Central Catholic has four straight wins, Hamilton Heights has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lafayette Central Catholic came out on top against Logansport on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Knights were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Berries. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Frankfort hit Hamilton Heights with a six-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies came up short against the Hot Dogs, falling 13-3.

Hamilton Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Hite, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Hamilton Heights' loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.

Everything went Lafayette Central Catholic's way against Hamilton Heights when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Lafayette Central Catholic made off with a 14-5 win.
