With a playoff win on the line, Carrollton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mountain View Bears with a sharp 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the sixth in a row for Carrollton, bringing their record up to 22-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bears beat Carrollton by a score of 4-2 later that day.
