Baseball Recap: Murray County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ridgeland on Tuesday, Murray County came back down to earth. The Murray County Indians came up short against the Ridgeland Panthers on Tuesday, falling 19-8. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Murray County's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ridgeland, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murray County will head out to face off against Trion at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgeland, they will square off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgeland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
