Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

Monte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Mission Vista 66-22. The Monarchs were probably out for revenge after losing 51-27 to them when the teams met back in January of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mission Vista was led to victory by Jordynn Rogers and Jaiden Sidhu. Rogers posted 15 points, while Sidhu had 15 points. Those 15 points gave Rogers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alycia Rankin, who scored eight points.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Mission Vista, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.

Monte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-28 loss against Santana on the 28th. Mission Vista has also already played their next contest, a 73-52 defeat against Mater Dei Catholic on the 27th.
