Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakdale). They strolled past the Gilroy Mustangs with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 42-26. The win was all the more spectacular given Oakdale's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 667th, while Gilroy is ranked 250th).

The victory got Oakdale back to even at 6-6. As for Gilroy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Oakdale will take on Buhach Colony in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilroy and Pacific Grove will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
