Recap: Bentley Phoenix vs. Redwood Christian Eagles

The Bentley Phoenix suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Redwood Christian, falling 76-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bentley in their matchups with Redwood Christian: they've now lost six in a row.

Redwood Christian was led to victory by Chisom Nwebube and Nia Rogers. Nwebube scored 30 points along with four steals, while Rogers scored 44 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Rogers has scored at least a third of Redwood Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Collier, who scored no points along with six rebounds and four steals.

That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.6 points per game. As for Redwood Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Bentley will be playing at home against Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. College Prep has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
