Papillion-LaVista is 9-1 against Lincoln North Star since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Monarchs will be playing at home against the Navigators  at 6:30  p.m. After  the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
If Papillion-LaVista beats Lincoln North Star with 12  runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the  team's new lucky number: they've won their past two  contests with that exact score. The Monarchs never let Omaha Central get on the board and left with  a   12-0  victory  on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won 17 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kaylee Huffman was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double.

 In other batting news, Papillion-LaVista got a  massive  performance out of  Allison Dibelka, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  Dibelka a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Maizey Carpenter, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Papillion-LaVista  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in eight consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star and Lincoln Southeast faced off in a cross-town battle  on Saturday. The Navigators blew past the Knights 11-3. The  win continues a trend for the Navigators in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.
 Remy Sunken spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
 At the plate,  Nevaeh Miller-Willis and  Olivia Knox did most of the damage at the plate:  Miller-Willis  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Knox  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  CeCe Danek, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs.
 Lincoln North Star's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Papillion-LaVista, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.
Tuesday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Papillion-LaVista hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .389. However, it's not like Lincoln North Star struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Papillion-LaVista beat Lincoln North Star 7-3  in their previous meeting  back in August. Will the Monarchs repeat their success,  or do  the Navigators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
