Basketball Recap: Cabrillo Takes a Loss

Cabrillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 73-16 defeat at the hands of the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.

It was another big night for Joy Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards for Long Beach Poly. The game was Anderson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Lemons, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Long Beach Poly, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

As of now, neither Cabrillo nor Long Beach Poly have any future games scheduled.
