Softball Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Commerce fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Providence Christian Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Storm by a score of 7-6. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Storm 4-0 in the first period.

Commerce has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Providence Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Commerce will head out to square off against Franklin County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Greater Atlanta Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of.
