Elkhorn North faced Bishop Neumann in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cavaliers. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Elkhorn North's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kelsey Daubert, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Elkhorn North's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Bishop Neumann, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-7.

Elkhorn North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-3 victory against Crete on the 27th. As for Bishop Neumann, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-2 win against Duchesne/Roncalli on the 27th.
