Basketball Game Preview: Big Spring Bulldogs vs. Bishop McDevitt Crusaders

The Big Spring Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Spring will be strutting in after a victory while Bishop McDevitt will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Big Spring beat Camp Hill 38-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Bishop McDevitt suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They lost 54-34 to Boiling Springs. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Bubblers are ranked 120th).

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop McDevitt and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Big Spring, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Big Spring didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bishop McDevitt when the teams last played on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Big Spring since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
