Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Oilers vs. Mattawan Wildcats
Mt. Pleasant took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Mattawan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Oilers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Oilers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mt. Pleasant got a massive performance out of Brody Binder, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Binder a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tate Wager, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles.
Mt. Pleasant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mattawan only posted a batting average of .241.
Mt. Pleasant's record is now 22-12. As for Mattawan, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 31-8-1 record.
Coming up, Mt. Pleasant will venture away from home to take on East Grand Rapids at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mattawan, they will host Grand Blanc at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
