Mark Bowman, Kaiden Prothro headline top 10 tight ends in high school football

USC, Georgia and Oregon commits at the top of the list.

We have already looked at the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers in our position-by-position breakdown previewing the 2025 high school football season. 

Next up are the tight ends.


Bowman reclassified to the Class of 2026 and was the lone sophomore to be selected on the MaxPreps All-America team last season. 

Prothro led the Red Devils to a third consecutive state title and finished his junior season with 56 receptions for 1,203 yards and 22 touchdowns. 



Harrison was named the MaxPreps National Male Athlete of the Year as a sophomore and had a strong junior season, posting 33 catches for 555 yards and eight touchdowns in only eight games. 

George Lamons Jr. of Brooks County (Quitman, Ga.) was one of four tight ends from the Class of 2027 included. Lamons lines up all over the field and is one of the most dynamic playmakers in the country.
