Baseball Recap: Lovejoy Takes a Loss

Lovejoy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the McIntosh Chiefs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Lovejoy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Dunn, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Lovejoy's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for McIntosh, they pushed their record up to 12-16 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Lovejoy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
