Softball Recap: Arvada Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Arvada dropped to 14-3 on Thursday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 10-7 to the Centaurus Warriors. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldogs, who until this game were averaging 3.29 runs allowed.

Alyssa Moreno made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Salem Duran, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

As for Centaurus, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Ten seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Centaurus' side, Noble Paw was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Paw has posted since back in September. Emery Fannin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Looking ahead, Arvada will take on Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.87 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Centaurus, they will challenge Brighton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
