Basketball Game Preview: Downtown Magnets Suns vs. Central City Value Jaguars

Downtown Magnets hasn't had much luck against Central City Value recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Downtown Magnets Suns will host the Central City Value Jaguars at 2:30 p.m.

Downtown Magnets is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They fell 25-15 to Orthopaedic. One positive for the Suns, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Downtown Magnets had strong showings from Rachael Lee, who posted six points along with six boards and three steals, and Ericka Palma, who had.

Meanwhile, Central City Value had just enough and edged Triumph Charter out 27-25 on Wednesday.

Downtown Magnets' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central City Value, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Downtown Magnets might still be hurting after the 46-22 defeat they got from Central City Value in their previous meeting back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Downtown Magnets was down 26-6.
