Basketball Recap: Goddard Takes a Loss

Goddard lost against Las Cruces back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rockets took a blow against the Bulldawgs, falling 58-29. The loss put an end to the Rockets' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Goddard fell to 2-1. As for Las Cruces, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Goddard and Belen will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Las Cruces, they and Organ Mountain will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Bulldawgs will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
