Softball Recap: Pueblo East Wins Going Away Against Coronado

Pueblo East had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Coronado on Saturday. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 12-6. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Pueblo East got a massive performance out of Triniti Pacheco, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Pacheco a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Devin Dalton, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Pueblo East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Pueblo East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Coronado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Pueblo East will take on Pueblo South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coronado, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mesa Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
