Softball Recap: WACO Comes Up Short

WACO was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colo-NESCO Royals.

WACO's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Colo-NESCO, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17.

Coming up, WACO will host Wapello on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Colo-NESCO, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against Iowa Valley on the 28th.
