Soccer Recap: Silverado Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Silverado was not quite Hesperia's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Hesperia Scorpions. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now lost three in a row.

Silverado's goal came courtesy of Layla Cheney, who's now up to three this season.

Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hesperia, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will take on Burroughs in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silverado is facing Burroughs at the right time seeing as Burroughs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hesperia, they will be taking part in a tournament against Brea Olinda at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th.
