Basketball Recap: Pacifica Christian/Orange County Has No Trouble Against Marina

Pacifica Christian/Orange County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They took down the Marina Vikings 57-42. This was a revenge game for the Tritons: when they faced off against the Vikings back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-53 defeat.

Marina's loss came despite strong showings from Shelby Nguyen and Rylee Bradley. Nguyen almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, while Bradley posted 17 points. That was a full 40.5% of Marina's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Pacifica Christian/Orange County's record now sits at 8-10. As for Marina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Pacifica Christian/Orange County has already played their next match, a 65-15 win against San Bernardino on the 3rd. As for Marina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-45 loss against Fountain Valley on the 4th.
