Baseball Recap: Dominion Christian Takes a Loss

Dominion Christian and Pinewood Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dominion Christian had to settle for second. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-1 defeat on Friday.

Jake Jackson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Carson Beard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Dominion Christian's loss dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Pinewood Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Dominion Christian nor Pinewood Christian have any future games scheduled.
