Johnson was the 2-0 winner over Eastwood when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars fell just short of the Troopers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Johnson sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 25-22.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Eastwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Johnson and Eastwood should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Jaguars (ranked 83rd) will meet Hutto (ranked 604th) at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastwood will face off against Chapin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (28 vs. 176).
