Baseball Game Preview: Greenbrier Wolfpack vs. Harlem Bulldogs

Greenbrier is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Harlem is on an 18-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolfpack will welcome the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

11 must be Greenbrier's lucky number: they beat South Effingham with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Wolfpack's pitchers stepped up to hand the Mustangs an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Wolfpack have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Harlem posted their closest victory since February 18th on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over West Laurens. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Greenbrier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Harlem, their win bumped their record up to 23-0.
