Basketball Recap: Montour Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lincoln Park Performing Arts last Friday, Montour came back down to earth. The Montour Spartans fell to the West Mifflin Titans 36-30. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Titans are ranked 421st).

Montour's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for West Mifflin, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Montour didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-40 loss against Moon Area on the 14th. West Mifflin has also already played their next contest, a 56-28 defeat against Greensburg Salem on the 13th.
