Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union Grove). Everything went their way against the Locust Grove Wildcats on Wednesday as the Union Grove Wolverines made off with a 14-6 victory. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Wildcats on their field since March 16, 2022.

The win (which was Union Grove's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Locust Grove, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Union Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against Locust Grove: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
