Soccer Game Preview: Harris County vs. Griffin

The Harris County Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Griffin Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harris County's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Harris County is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Shaw on Friday. Harris County fell just short of Shaw by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Harris County have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Griffin's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Central. The win made it back-to-back victories for Griffin.

Angel Barojas was the driving force of Griffin's attack as he scored both of Griffin's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Griffin's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Harris County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Harris County was able to grind out a solid victory over Griffin in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, winning 4-2. Will Harris County repeat their success, or does Griffin has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
