The Willits Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 44-24 walloping at the hands of Clear Lake. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Willits in their matchups with Clear Lake: they've now lost six in a row.
Willits' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cecily Potter, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals, and Hazel Cooke who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Cooke has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Chavez, who scored four points.

Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.9 points per game. As for Clear Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willits will take on Lower Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
