Basketball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Fayette Lions, falling 75-22. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Lions are ranked second).

New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for South Fayette, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

New Castle will welcome Mars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Fayette, they will take on Chartiers Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
