Softball Recap: Heritage's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Heritage was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Flint River Academy on Tuesday. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 on September 2nd.

Izabella Sewell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Abby Dunlap was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double.

Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Heritage's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6. As for Flint River Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will welcome Loganville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Flint River Academy, they will host Upson-Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.81 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
