Softball Recap: Wapello Comes Up Short

Wapello fell victim to Lone Tree and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Wapello's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lone Tree, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Wapello has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Mt. Pleasant on the 21st. As for Lone Tree, they will venture away from home to take on WACO on Monday.
