Recap: Harrisburg Christian vs. Mount Calvary Christian Chargers

Harrisburg Christian's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Mount Calvary Christian, falling 58-30. While losing is never fun, Harrisburg Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 686th, while Mount Calvary Christian is ranked 309th).

Mount Calvary Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Masters out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Masters has scored at least 25% of Mount Calvary Christian's points. Audrey Gash was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds.

Harrisburg Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Harrisburg Christian will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Harrisburg Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Harrisburg Christian. As for Mount Calvary Christian, they will be playing at home against Alliance Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
