            Football Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. River Valley Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Marion Center suffered their biggest  defeat since November 8, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt  a  35-7 loss at the hands of the River Valley Panthers. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Stingers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
 Camden Rising threw for 166 yards  on 15 of 28 attempts.   Troy Slovinsky was his top target, picking up 99 receiving yards.
 River Valley's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jake Woodring, who rushed for 110 yards and one  touchdown.  Max Persichetti was another key signal caller, throwing for 117 yards and one  TD on only ten passes.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Marion Center  fell to 8-1. As for River Valley, the  win was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion Center is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Penns Manor  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, River Valley will  square off against  rival Northern Cambria  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
