Mohawk Area gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past the Neshannock Lancers with points to spare, taking the game 37-20. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 42-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Mohawk Area to victory were Cash Stratton and Bobby Fadden. Stratton gained 183 total yards and three touchdowns, while Fadden rushed for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Joe Nail also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.

Looking ahead, Mohawk Area will challenge Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neshannock, they will take on Union Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
