Soccer Recap: Dodge County Takes a Loss

If Dodge County was riding high fresh off their 6-1 takedown of Washington County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dodge County Indians fell just short of the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Indians couldn't quite close it out.

Dodge County dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Academy for Classical Education, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Dodge County is taking a road trip to take on Worth County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will welcome Jefferson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Classical Education will be up against Jefferson County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.88 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
