Volleyball Recap: East Jackson Triumphs

East Jackson won the last time they faced Washington-Wilkes and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East Jackson took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10.

Victoria Zeliski paced East Jackson's offense, picking up eight kills. Zeliski got some help from Julia Zeliski and her 19 assists. Moore Emilou controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

East Jackson's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Washington-Wilkes, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, East Jackson will venture away from home to challenge Morgan County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington-Wilkes, they will take on Rabun County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
