Recap: Milton Hershey Spartans vs. Palmyra Cougars
The Milton Hershey Spartans were the 45-36 winner over the Palmyra Cougars when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Milton Hershey fell to Palmyra 50-44. While losing is never fun, Milton Hershey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Palmyra is ranked 134th).
Palmyra found their leader in underclassman Addison Salus, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Salus has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Keely Bowers, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Milton Hershey and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Palmyra, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton Hershey will square off against Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmyra, they will head out on the road to challenge Cedar Cliff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
