Wilkinsburg High School's Darche' Jackson will probably never forget the night she reached 1,000 career points. Nor will anyone else in attendance.

Jackson poured in a career-high 54 points to lead the Wilkinsburg girls to a 64-62 win over Shady Side Academy Monday night in a WPIAL game, handing the Indians their first section loss.

The leading scorer in the WPIAL at 31.4 points per game (according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), Jackson entered the night needing 22 points for 1,000. She reached that milestone with no trouble, and then added 32 more for good measure. Her two free throws with five seconds left proved to be the winning points.
