Softball Recap: Sprayberry Starts Season with Victory Against Marietta

Sprayberry had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Marietta Blue Devils by a score of 7-4. The Yellow Jackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

The team relied heavily on Shona Bowen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Sage Dorsey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs.

Coming up, Sprayberry will face off against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marietta, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against South Cobb at 6:00 p.m.
