Carlsbad kept up with Centennial until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Hawks put the hurt on the Cavemen/Cavegirls with a sharp 5-1 victory. Victor Rios was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Centennial has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matchups. As for Carlsbad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will welcome Valencia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlsbad, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gadsden at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
