Soccer Recap: Lithia Springs Takes a Loss

Lithia Springs managed to keep up with Sandy Creek until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lions came up short against the Patriots, falling 4-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 goals in the game before, Lithia Springs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lithia Springs' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sandy Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Lithia Springs will head out on the road to square off against Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandy Creek, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. Riverdale will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Sandy Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
