Volleyball Recap: Union City Takes a Loss

Union City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Seton Catholic Cardinals. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Union City still got an impressive performance from Scarlett VanMeter, who had 12 digs.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Seton Catholic, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-15.

Union City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against South Adams on the 7th. As for Seton Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Alexandria-Monroe on the 11th.
