Basketball Game Preview: Valley View Cougars vs. Palmerton Blue Bombers

The Valley View Cougars will face off against the Palmerton Blue Bombers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Valley View is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Scranton Prep on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Valley View came up short against Scranton Prep, falling 62-36. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Palmerton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allentown Central Catholic.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Palmerton, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.
