Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newell-Fonda). They blew past the South Central Calhoun Titans 37-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Newell-Fonda's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-11. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Central Calhoun, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Newell-Fonda didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Kingsley-Pierson on the 2nd. As for South Central Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 30-0 loss against Ogden on the 2nd.
