Softball Recap: Locust Grove's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Locust Grove entered their tilt with Westlake on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Lions 16-4. Considering the Wildcats have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Locust Grove's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Westlake, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Locust Grove will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jones County at 6:30 p.m. The Greyhounds' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westlake, they will challenge Douglas County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
