Baseball Recap: Hapeville Charter Beats Mays for Their Fifth Straight Win

While Hapeville Charter's win against Mays wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hapeville Charter Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Mays Raiders on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won five contests in a row.

J Colbert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of S Johnson, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Hapeville Charter pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Mays, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hapeville Charter will host Carver at 6:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for Mays, they will welcome M.L. King at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
