Softball Recap: Latta Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Latta ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Dickson Comets 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since October 3, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Latta and bumps their season record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Dickson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Latta will square off against Dibble at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dickson, they will head out to take on Davis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
