Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Westside

Central hasn't had much luck against Westside recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Central Chargers will head out to take on the Westside Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. Central will be strutting in after a win while Westside will be coming in after a defeat.

Central was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Washington County.

Meanwhile, Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Jackson, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Seminoles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Central's win bumped their record up to 2-6-1. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Westside in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. Can Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
